"Quality Childcare From Newborn Upwards"
I have a separate playroom and enclosed garden for outdoor play, which can be accessed directly from the playroom. I have a good range of resources that children will have access to daily and children will also get the opportunity to choose some of the activities that they would like to do. Children are encouraged to make their own decisions and through play and priase develop confiendence in their abilities enabling them to take risks and enjoy new challenges.
We regulary attend local groups around the Appley Bridge, Shevington and Standish area, visit soft play centres, local parks and libraries. Children will also have regular opportunities to play outside with toys and to take activities outside like painting. In the outdoor area I have a "mud kitchen", chalk board for mark making, reflective surfaces, outdoor playhouse with resources for roleplay and a selection of ride on vehicles.
Adequate space and resources are made available for different activities every day and babies under one will have their own age appropriate toys. If a child has a specific interest I will endeavour to obtain the appropriate resources.
Below are some of the activities my setting will offer to reflect and include the different ways children learn:
Sand & Water play, messy play, baking, playdoh, painting, arts & crafts, books, puzzles, construction toys (Lego Duplo), pretend play (home corner), dressing up and musical instruments. I also have a range of toys for younger children (0-6 months) e.g. baby gyms, rattles etc.
Details of your child's day will be provided daily. You will be given information on everything your child has done that day including what they have eaten at meal times, number of nappy changes, activities and places they have visited. Parents are welcome to view this information at any time.
